![]() ![]() ![]() The strip was created and drawn by Benjamin Thackston "Tack" Knight (1895-1976) who, for several years, assisted/ghosted Reg'lar Fellers for Gene Byrnes. Sort of a genteel version of the Reg'lar Fellers and Smitty comic strips of the 1920s and 1930s, which also featured the antics of a regular cast of kids. The strip featured the gags and antics of a bunch of neighborhood kids, and often focused on innocent puns and childish humor. Recalls days of simpler childhood times.Strip and Artist Information :LITTLE FOLKS was an American humor comic strip which ran from 1930 through 1933. ![]() Nice clean daily by a talented cartoonist. Knight had a very fine-line style which perfectly suited his gentle depiction of childhood humor. Baxter takes his 'spring cleaning' statement a bit too literally, wondering how that will happen if the wagon has no springs.Strong panel design, clean lines and a cute gag. This is NOT a stat or a proof of the art. This daily, titled "Spring Is Here!" above the art, features Buddy and Baxter discussing "spring" cleaning. Copyright 1931 by The Chicago Tribune as per the indicia. The strip is signed "Tack Knight" (with his distinctive "T") and hand dated "3-21".
